The simulator randomly generates three launch parameters - initial velocity, initial height, launch angle, or gravity - along with random drag and density presets.
Either a landing distance or peak height is chosen as the target. A shaded zone on the graph shows the ±2% band you need to land within.
Three of the four launch parameters are shown and locked. One is hidden - that is your slider to control. Adjust it and click Launch to run your attempt.
Each attempt shows your trajectory on the graph alongside the target zone. If you miss, reiterate and try again. Your previous value is kept as the starting point.
Once you succeed or want a fresh start, hit New Challenge. A new trajectory is generated with a new challenge.
